The waves today seemed to have a certain sparkle, like a child going to a birthday party. The sun shone brightly on the weekend beach goers happily laying in the sun, some running gleefully into the water...unafraid of a possible chill.
And they stayed - basking in these almost Summer moments - too long had our Winter been with its endless snow drifts reaching skyward. Today, the only thing reaching for the skies was more kite surfers. One even gleefully did a flip, mid-air!
Back on the sand, mothers took selfies with daughters. Kids climbed rocks & waited for ice cream. And a remnant "Congrats Grad!" balloon drifted softly amidst green seaweed - seemingly showing off its green pillowy air sacs, which keep it aloft - to the less than lofty mylar tied with string.
Yesterday the fog felt like being in a cloud. Tomorrow it may rain, but today is glorious. A celebration.
